For little more extra family income.
Why Mom or Dad was willing to sacrifice ?
Gimme More: Extra Family Income for the WAHM
For family income, who doesn't need an extra buck or two? I know I do. With the global financial crisis looming above our heads, we need to come up with more creative ways of generating extra income to bridge the ever-widening gap between cash flow and expenses. Actually, even before the crisis hit, my family was already in our own crisis. So where did we go from there?
I came up with the idea of setting up a home business to come up with extra family income.
In today's day and age, almost everyone, if not everyone indeed, owns a
computer and has access to the internet. If you have a computer and an internet access then you can start a home-based business.
My idea is to harness the capability of the internet to promote my online business that will be like no other. In my website I will not be promoting products - instead I want to share my skills, my knowledge, perhaps even a hobby or a leisurely activity.
How do I start

All content will be based on my personal insights and expertise which I think is far more precious and beneficial to site visitors. So, work-at-home moms (WAHM) let's start earning for our family's needs!
Mother's Dream
As they say, "when a child is born, so is a mother". It's a mother's instinct to want the best for her family. I don't think I know of any mother who does not dream of sending her child to the best schools to receive the best education or buying the best material things that she could afford. I don't think I know of any mother who does not want her family to eat only the best meals, if only she has the resources to buy and serve them
Especially for first time parents, dreams for our children take on a new dimension. It is always the loftiest of the lofty.
Once we become parents we start living through our children, making them the extension of our unfulfilled dreams, making it our main purpose to make sure that they at least have a fighting chance to achieve what we did not. Their successes become our major milestones as parents.
True Price for our Dream
Will you agree with me that nothing in this world is free? With big dreams come big costs, with quality education comes quality expenses, with fancy dinners come numerous bills, with travels and field trips come enormous debts.
Our quest to expose our child to the best that the world has to offer must come with the quest to have more money to spend for these things.
Truth is if you want your family to live well, you have to be prepared to spend. Without money to spend, our wishes will be just a fantasy, not reality. Here is where the need to earn extra family income comes in.
Starting our Home Business
When I realized that I needed to make more money to cover more expenses I thought of becoming an "Infopreneur". Now what in heavens name is that?
An infopreneur is a person making the most of sharing information to others, through a website to be specific. And to be even more specific, an Infopreneur shares not just day-to-day banter but skills, proficiencies and knowledge.
Infomation is Valuable
When there is a question, you or your site to be exact have the answer. This will create the Internet traffic that is needed to sustain the website.
When I say "traffic to sustain the website", I mean money, money from hits or site visits generated by the usefulness of your information to people. You don't have to sell anything doing this, but money will come in because of the volume of traffic that you create.
As I've said, the internet has greatly changed the way people do things. When they need information, they no longer go to the library to scour books. They go to the library to use the computers and internet access for free (if that is still being offered).
Rewards are more than Money
Aside from earning your family income, this new way of doing things strengthens the bond between family members. No longer do parents (or at least the moms) have to hire
nannies to look after their kids or enroll them at daycare center while they are off to work because they are now at home "working".
If you have kids that are too young to understand, then yes hold off on involving them in the new family home business. But if they canalready comprehend the concept of what you are doing, then involve them and share with them your ultimate goals.
This would make working at home even easier on you. If your kids understand why you are sitting in front of the computer for more than a couple of hours instead of doing the laundry like you used to, then maybe they will be easier to convince to help out some more. This is another perk of doing a home business.
